Primer Systems

PR58 Primer

PR58

PR58 Epoxy Concrete Primer is a high-performance, moisture-resistant primer designed to strengthen concrete surfaces and enhance adhesion for polyurea and polyurethane coatings. PR58 is a 2:1 and does not require thinners. It can be brush, roller or spray applied to the concrete substrate at a 3-6 mil dry film thickness. After application, wait a minimum of 4 hours or until tack-free and a maximum of 48 hours before applying a coating to PR58.

Defender Prime

UMI Barrel

Defender Prime

Defender Prime is a 1:1 epoxy primer specifically engineered for potable water and similar non-caustic environments. Defender Prime is NSF 61/100 approved and may be used as a primer for steel potable water tanks and is available in a low VOC version by substituting the Part B component. Defender Prime is applied to steel or concrete at a 3-6 mil dry film thickness. Defender Prime can be brushed, rolled, or spray applied. After application, wait a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 3 hours before applying a coating. Defender Prime has an extended recoat window of 365 days (about 12 months) if required.
